Kitchen Porter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to support our clients’ kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents. You will assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring it remains clean, organised, and functional. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our clients’ care home's dining services.

Type: Full-time/Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently.
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Assist with unloading and storing food supplies and kitchen stock.
Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required.
Properly dispose of waste and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
Follow health and safety regulations, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with care home policies.
Assist with any other kitchen-related tasks as needed by the kitchen team.
Candidate Specification:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player with good communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
